Girls Hifz Class Teacher

We are currently searching for a full-time hifz instructor for our Girls Qur’an Memorisation class beginning January 2025 until July 2025.

Start date:  January 2025

Timings: 5:20 PM – 7:20 PM

Location: 77 Evington Valley Rd, Leicester LE5 5LL

Job Role:

To carry out the duties of a teacher in accordance with the Madrasah’s policies under the direction of the Principal

Education and Experience

  • Excellent levels of Islamic knowledge
  • Excellent command of reciting and teaching Qur’an
  • Meet professional teacher educational ability of a Madrasah Instructor
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • Grade A*-C in English Language
  • Experience in early childhood education, preferably within an Islamic educational setting.

Main Roles Include:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
  • Prepare classroom for class activities
  • Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by the madrasah and law
  • Prepare and present informative reports to parents
  • manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and the Madrasah behaviour policy.
  • Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary
  • Perform certain pastoral duties including but not limited to student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement
  • Participate in department and Madrasah meetings, parent meetings
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Following the set out syllabus and delivering lessons accordingly
  • Create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Foster a love for learning and Islamic values through creative activities, storytelling, and games.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for all students.
  • Any other duties instructed by the principal

General

  • To adopt the Madrasah’s Health and safety and risk management policies and to attend any relevant training
  • To adopt the Madrasah’s child protection policy and to attend any relevant training
  • To adopt the Madrasah’s Anti bullying policy and to attend any relevant training
  • To remain on Madrasah Grounds as long as it is necessary to maintain child safety
  • To undertake any additional duties the Madrasah feels is important for the safety of the children in Madrasah
  • To demonstrate a continual positive commitment to the madrasah’s policies including those relating to safeguarding children, health and safety, and equal opportunities.
  • To demonstrate a positive attitude towards attending classes/courses organised for the development of teachers such as class management, safeguarding, Tajweed improvement etc.
